Fire breaks out at a south Kolkata market, no casualties reported

Kolkata/IBNS: A massive fire broke out in a market on Prince Anwar Shah Road in South Kolkata on Wednesday.

As many as 16 fire tenders were rushed to the spot at Lords Bakery to douse off the blaze. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The fire broke out around 3.20 pm and several shops were affected in the blaze.


Local MLA Debsish Kumar reached the spot to take stock of the situation.

Owing to the swift response of the fire department, the blaze was brought under control within an hour.
