Fire breaks out in Delhi hotel, nine people die

New Delhi, Feb 12 (IBNS): At least nine people died as a massive fire broke out in a hotel in Delhi's busy Karol Bagh area on Tuesday,  media reports said.

The blaze left three others injured.

Twenty-six fire engines reached the spot as firefighters fought hard to bring the flames under control.

According to reports, fire was first noticed from Hotel Arpit Palace at around 4 am.

The fire was brought under control at around 7 am.

Police said they have rescued 34 people from the hotel.

The injured people were taken to hospital for treatment.

The cause of the fire is still not known.

Several hotels are present in Karol Bagh area.
