Fire NOC of Vashi building that caught fire was not renewed in 2017

Vashi, Nov 7 (IBNS): The fire NOC of the building near Vashi Railway station in Navi Mumbai, which went up in flames, was not renewed in 2017, a senior official of the NMMC was quoted by the media on Tuesday.

The incident took place on Monday when the Arunachal Bhawan caught fire. However, the fire brigade managed to douse the flames within an hour and no one was injured, media reported.

According to local reports,  the fire broke out on the 10th floor of the building around  one pm and went up to the 14th.

Around 30 cancer patients and their attendants were in the building when the fire broke out. They were asked to wait on the road till the building was announced safe, reported the Hindustan Times.
