Footbridge collapses in Goa, 50 people fall into river
Panaji, May 18 (IBNS): Around 50 people fell into the river as a footbridge collapsed in Curchorem of South Goa, in the evening on Thursday, according to Hindustan Times.
The bridge was in a poor condition and people were allowed only to walk.
Reports suggest that around 10 people have been rescued so far.
A police official informed that the rescue operation is in the process though he could not tell the actual number of victims.
