Foreign Minister Wang Yi of China calls on the President Kovind

New Delhi, Dec 21 (IBNS): Wang Yi, the Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, called on the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.

Welcoming Yi to India, the President said that India-China relations are an important part of India’s foreign policy.

"As two major countries, expansion of cooperation bilaterally as well as regionally and internationally is in our mutual interest," read a government statement.

India looks forward to its continued engagement with China for further strengthening of bilateral relations based on mutual trust and understanding, and with due consideration to each other’s concerns, aspirations and sensitivities.
