Four Congress MLAs of Manipur join BJP

Guwahati, Apr 28 (IBNS): Congress faces another set back after its four MLAs in Manipur on Friday and joined the BJP.

Manipur state BJP president Ksh Bhabananda Singh said that four Congress MLAs had officially joined the saffron party during a meeting held in Imphal in presence of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Assam finance minister of Convenor of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) Himanta Biswa Sarma and other leaders.

The Congress legislators who joined BJP are Ngamthang Haokip of Saitu constituency, Yengkhom Surchandra Singh of Kakching constituency, Sanasam Bira Singh of Kumbi constituency and Oinam Lukhoi Singh of Wangoi constituency.

Earlier, Th Shyamkumar Singh, who is the present minister of the BJP-led collision government had joined the saffron party to form the first saffron government in Manipur.

After forming government, Ginsuanhau, the Congress MLA of Singhat constituency had recently joined BJP.
