New Delhi/IBNS: After the Election Commission announced the Gujarat poll dates, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal, who is eyeing to make an inroad in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state, was quick to declare that his party would "definitely win" and followed it up with a one-minute "message with love", in Gujarati.

"I am your brother, part of your family. Give me one chance and I'll give you free electricity; build schools and hospitals... and take you to Ayodhya's Ram Temple," said the Delhi Chief Minister whose party, is hoping to make a dent in the BJP stronghold state.

The AAP will Friday announce its Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming state elections "through public opinion".

"Tomorrow, AAP will announce the CM candidate for the upcoming assembly elections through public opinion," Kejriwal said.

Last week, Kejriwal launched a campaign to choose the AAP face for the polls.

The Election Commission of India on Thursday announced Gujarat will go to polling in two phases on Dec 1 and Dec 5.

The results will be declared on Dec 8.

The battle for Gujarat is set to be three-cornered as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is aggressively campaigning to oust the BJP, which is ruling the state for nearly three decades.

The Congress, which was close to a win in the 2017 assembly elections in the western state, is also fighting for its relevance.
