Panaji, Aug 16 (IBNS) : Police arrested the owners of two North Goa beach shacks, including a famous one, on Tuesday after they conducted raids and found narcotics from waiters and several guests, media reports said.

Hindustan Times quoted the North Goa Superintendent of Police as having confirmed the arrests of Edwin Nunes, the owner of Curlies, and Rohan Shetty of Club Nyex.

Both cafes, popularly known as beach shacks, are at the Anjuna beach village, 20 km from Panaji.

Three tourists from Bengaluru were also found in possession of drugs and have been booked, the reports said.

Chief minister Manohar Parrikar said on Tuesday the police crackdown on drugs and late night parties would continue.
