Haryana gang-rape: Army man among three accused

Rewari, Sept 15 (IBNS): The Haryana Police on Saturday released the photographs of three accused in the Rewari gang rape case of a CBSE school topper, media reports said.

The accused also includes an Army personnel.

The police has announced Rs 1 lakh reward for information on the accused.

The army soldier has been identified as Pankaj, posted in Rajasthan.

The police are taking efforts to arrest him as he is reportedly the main accused in the case.

The other accused are Manish and Nishu.

On Wednesday, a 19-year-old student, who had topped the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination, was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by a group of men in Haryana.

She was allegedly abused till the time the girl fell unconscious.

The victim was on her way to a coaching class near her village in Rewari when she was kidnapped and dragged to a field by a group men.

The girl's parents had earlier alleged that their complaints were not taken initially.

Later, a zero First Information Report (FIR) was registered which was then been converted into a regular complaint by police on Friday morning.

The case was also transferred to the police station under whose area the crime took place.
