Himachal bus accident: 44 killed, 30 injured

Shimla, June 21 (UNI): Forty four passengers were killed and more than 30 injured on Thursday after their bus fell into a deep gorge in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh," officials said.

"Twenty passengers died on the spot while others succumbed on the way to hospital," police said

The bus fell into a deep gorge near the Dhoth morah in Banjar district, police said.

According to police," The bus was enroute to Garagushani area from Aut of Banjar.

The district administration has handed over immediate relief of Rs 50,000 to the injured and next of deceased after identification, an official said.
