'I am not rigid... let's talk': Punjab CM's attempt to placate irate Sidhu

Chandigarh/IBNS: New Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi Wednesday said he has reached out to Navjot Singh Sidhu, who resigned as the state Congress chief yesterday, to address the disgruntled leader's concerns, media reports said.

"Nothing has been done intentionally. If anybody has an objection on any appointment, then I am not rigid on that… I don't have ego tussles… I told him the party is supreme, let's talk," Channi said, according to NDTV.

Sidhu's sudden resignation  came after Channi named his cabinet.

Earlier, today Sidhu released a video message saying he cannot compromise on ethics and would fight "fight for truth until my last breath."

"My fight is issue-based and I have stood by it for a long time. There can't be any compromise on a pro-Punjab agenda. I can never misguide the high command nor allow it to be misguided," he said.
