'I don't give bytes during morning walks': Bengal LoP Suvendu Adhikari jibes at BJP's Dilip Ghosh

Kolkata/IBNS: In a potentially controversial statement, West Bengal Leader of Opposition  (LoP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Suvendu Adhikari indirectly took a jibe at his party colleague Dilip Ghosh from a south Kolkata rally, which was held against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government on Monday.

Addressing the rally at Hazra, which is close to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Kalighat residence, Adhikari said, "I am Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of Opposition. I don't believe in gimmicks. I don't give press bytes in my morning walks.

"Let me say this loud and clear that West Bengal's biggest dacoit will be behind the bars."

Adhikari as well a section of BJP leaders have been making statements recently claiming the TMC government, which faces allegations of corruption on various fronts, will be shaken in the month of December, hinting at possible action by the probe agencies.

The BJP on Monday held a protest rally at Hazra More near Ashutosh College agitating against the alleged deterioration of law and order situation in West Bengal.

The rally, which was held at a time Mamata was on her Meghalaya trip, was also attended by BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar, MLA Agnimitra Paul, Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta and others.
