IAF to induct Rafale in NE soon, conducts massive fighter jet exercise in Assam’s Tezpur

Guwahati, Sept 26 (IBNS): In the unlikely scenario of a war and to combat the challenges from the China, the Indian Air Force (IAF) will induct the Rafale aircraft in the North Eastern region soon and ready for fully operationalise eight more Advanced Landing Grounds (ALGs) in the region.

Shillong based Defence PRO Ratnakar Singh said that, the Rafale aircraft will induct in the region soon and in addition of Chinook and Apache helicopter also.

“In the Eastern Command region, we have recently operationalise Vijaynagar ALG in Arunachal Pradesh which is now fit for fix-wing operation. With the completion of the Vijaynagar ALG, the project of operationalise of eight ALG including Along, Walong, Mechuka have been full successful. As per the new acquisition, the IAF is getting. Most of them are coming to the Eastern Air Command aware also,” the Defence PRO said.

He further said that, the women in the Indian Air Force are now operationalise Hawk, Mig-21 and will get soon operationalise other fighter aircrafts.

By adding to its operational capabilities, the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Thursday had displayed its fighter aircrafts like Sukhoi Su–30MKI, ALH MK-III helicopter, Akash missile, advanced radar systems, other modern equipments, arms and exercised and operated its fighter jets in Tezpur based air force station – located in the northern bank of Assam and close with the Indo-China border.

The Eastern Air Command (EAC) had conducted the aircraft and ALH MK-III helicopter operational exercise in the air force station.

The IAF showcased low-level aerobatics by Sukhoi SU-30MKI, static display of aircraft and combat display by the guards.

The IAF conducted the exercise and showed its ability in case of war like situation and attack from the enemy.

North East is shared bordering with China, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Bhutan.

The union government has developed several airfields and also advanced landing fields in the region.
