Income Tax dept raids on AAP MLA Kartar Singh, recovers Rs 130 crore

New Delhi, Aug 10 (IBNS): Brewing fresh trouble for Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arind Kejriwal, Income Tax (I-T) department officials recovered Rs 130 crores from party MLAKartar Singh following raids, media reports said.

The raids were conducted a fortnight ago on July 27 at Singh's residence and offices.

Reports stated that a dozen offices and residences of the lawmaker,his brother Chattar Singh and their associates were also raided.

The lawmaker reportedly hid his income and invested the money in other properties, claims he said are false.

Following the incident, the AAP is crying foul against the government and has termed it a 'witch-hunt' and a 'political-vendetta'.
