Washington, Oct 7 (IBNS): Looking at India as a country with the potential to be one of the great global powers in the 21st century, the US said it wants to see the cooperation between the two nations in economically, politically, and security areas to grow in the upcoming days.

"I’d just say we share your concern about the India-Pakistan relationship. It’s absolutely critical to achieving peace and stability in South Asia. Our relationship with India is strong, growing. As you said, we’re two of the world’s oldest democracies," US State Department Spokesperson Mark Toner told  reporters.

"As Obama – President Obama said, India has the potential to be one of the great global powers in the 21st century, so we want to see our cooperation deepen both economically, politically, and security – on security issues as well," he said.

Modi recently visited the USA.
