Indian Army takes initiative to combat COVID-19

| @indiablooms | Apr 20, 2020, at 05:37 pm

Guwahati/IBNS: In yet another attempt to engage, empower, and mainstream ex -women insurgent cadres of Darrang district in Assam, unit of Indian Army engaged the destitute ex -cadres in making much needed face masks.

The dual benefit of the project assured decent livelihood for the women even in the testing lockdown period while at the same time strengthening response to fight against COVID-19 by making cheap face masks locally.

On the other hand, troops of the Indian Army conducted a 'COVID-19 Awareness Campaign' in the remote villages of Upper Subansiri and Upper Siang districts of Arunachal Pradesh.

Aim of the campaign was to enhance awareness amongst the villagers about the Corona virus pandemic and various precautionary measures required to be undertaken to contain the spread of the disease.

As part of the campaign, information leaflets and face masks were also distributed amongst the villagers.
