Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Palakkad to attend a roadshow as part of the election campaign for the NDA candidates of Palakkad, Malappuram, and Ponnani Lok Sabha constituencies on March 19.

He reached Pathanamthitta district on March 15 to campaign for Anil K. Antony, son of former Union Minister A. K. Antony, and attended a road show there.

On March 19, he would reach Mercy College grounds in a helicopter around 1000 a.m. and then proceed to the venue "Kotta Maithanam" by road, then carry out a roadshow scheduled from Anchuvilakku to the Head Post Office Road, about a one-kilometre stretch, along with state BJP leaders and NDA candidates.

BJP District President N Haridas said around 50,000 people will witness the roadshow. All security measures have been taken by the police. Security checks are underway in the evening too.
