Indian Summer: Jammu sizzles at 36.6 deg C

Jammu, May 4 (UNI) The winter capital of the state on Saturday witnessed humid and hot weather as maximum temperature was recorded 36.6 degree Celsius and minimum was 22.6 degree Celsius.

''The temperature deceased on Wednesday by four to five degrees due to dust storm and spell of rains but on Saturday it swelled by few degrees,'' said a weatherman.
He added that the dry spell would continue and the mercury would further soar in coming days.


''On Sunday, the sky will be mainly clear while the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 37 degrees and 21 degrees, respectively,'' he further said.


However, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Srinagar remained 21.7 degrees and 5.0 degrees and Leh recorded 16.2 degrees and 4.4 degrees, respectively.
The weatherman has forecast mainly clear to partly cloudy sky, with maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be around 23 degrees and nine degrees, respectively in Srinagar.


Leh would experience very light rain and snow with maximum and minimum temperatures around 18 degrees and five degrees respectively, he added.
