Mumbai, Oct 4 (IBNS) Indrani Mukherjea, prime accused in her daughter Sheena Bora's murder case, has regained consciousness, media reports said.

"She is out of danger but we've still kept her under observation. She is now conscious but drowsy. When you ask her, she responds by oral command. We have just given her water to drink and she has consumed it. Her condition is better," JJ Hospital dean Dr TP Lahane was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

Indrani was admitted to the hospital here in an unconscious state.

The former media executive and wife of former Star India CEO Peter Mukherjee, Indrani was rushed to Sir JJ  Hospital from Byculla Women's jail after she complained of uneasiness and breathing issues around 2 pm on Friday.

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday had  registered a case against three people in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case .

Besides Indrani, the two other are her ex-husband Sanjiv Khanna and driver Shyam Rai.

"The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against three private persons under Section 120-B, 364, 302, 307, 328, 201, 202, 203 of IPC and Section 3(25) of Arms Act relating to alleged murder of  Sheena Bora on the request of Maharashtra Government and further notification from Central Government," the CBI said in a statement.

" CBI took over the investigation of the case which was earlier registered by Mumbai Police on the allegations that accused persons hatched a criminal conspiracy to murder Ms. Sheena Bora and in pursuance of the said criminal conspiracy, the accused persons allegedly abducted Ms.Sheena Bora, murdered her and disposed off her body," it said.

The CBI said further investigation into the case will continue.

Indrani was arrested on Aug 24 for the murder of Sheena Bora, her daughter from an earlier relationship, in 2012.
