Industrial Fair at Hannover to be inaugurated by PM Modi
" Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi’s maiden visit to Germany and other parts of Europe will add to the authenticity and seriousness with which India is going ahead with its programme of Make in India, attracting the world technology and manufacturing leaders to invest in India and add the emerging nation in their supply and value chain,”said Anupam Shah, Chairman of the EEPC India.
‘’What is more heartening is the fact that several states are participating with a lot of interest in the Fair to showcase their strengths. These include Madhya Pradesh, Maharashthra, Punjab, Chattisgarh, Meghalaya, Gujarat, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Rajasthan,” Shah added.
While over 300 Indian companies ranging from big private and public sector corporates to the small and medium enterprises will participate in the Hannover Fair, the state-owned giants like BHEL, HAL and BEML will be led by their CMDs.
T Suvarna Raju Chairman HAL, Bangalore, P. Dwarkanath Chairman BEML, Bangalore and P. Rao CMD BHEL, along with Sajjan Jindal of JSW Steel, M.S. Unnikrishnan CEO & MD Thermax Limited, Pune, Sanjay Kirloskar CMD Kirloskar Pumps will be in the CEOs’ delegation which will interact with global technology leaders at the Hannover Fair.
The Indian participation is being lead managed by the EEPC India, the engineering exporters’ apex organisation at the Hannover Fair, from Apr 12-17.
India would be the Partner Country, the coveted status which would be fully utilized to advance the cause of the emerging Indian industry on the global industrial and technology landscape.
Senior officers of L&T Construction Equipment Ltd, Bharat Forge, TVS Group and TCS have confirmed their participation.
