IT dept. attaches assets of meat exporter Qureshi

New Delhi, Apr 10 (IBNS) The income tax department on Friday attached all assets of the controversial meat exporter Moin Qureshi.
Reports said the attached assets  include a farm house in Chattarpur,a house in Defence Colony, luxurious cars, land in Uttar Pradesh, shares in companies promoted by Qureshi, number of bank accounts and lockers.
 
 A Doon school alumnus, Qureshi has allegedly  failed to satisfy the IT department on the source of the money generated.

57-year-old Qureshi, who has been under IT department scanner for alleged tax evasion also failed to give the reasons for huge transfer of funds through Hawala route to UK and other destinations.
