Jammu and Kashmir: BEI gets skill development, home science labs

Srinagar: In a bid to pave the way to skill development, home science and recreational courses for students, Bilaliya Educational Institute on Saturday inaugurated Skill development cum Home Science Lab.

The lab was inaugurated in the Institute’s Lal Bazar campus in presence of Officials from the Education department and J&K Private school’s association.

The administration of Bilaliya said that the Lab was inaugurated to facilitate the courses in skill development , home science and other activities.

The Lab was inaugurated by ZEO Hawal, Mushtaq Ahmed in presence of Chairman, J&K Private school’s association and management of Bilaliya Educational institute.

While speaking to the media, ZEO Hawal, Mushtaq Ahmed appreciated the school for including skill development for the benefit of students/

“This skill development lab that this institute has inaugurated is in line with the government’s education policy. I am happy to see that the school has put efforts to make it happen. We are now moving towards integrated education and the steps like these will help us to achieve our goal,” Mushtaq Ahmed said.

Chairman, Private school’s association G N Var said that the school by being the first in the valley to inaugurate the lab like this will encourage others too.

He said in present time we need to move beyond traditional education towards integrated education so that our children will be well versed with these skills in addition to formal education.

After the inauguration, a function was held during which many dignitaries spoke about the importance of integrated education.

Chairman Bilalya Educational institute, Manzoor Ahmed Wangnoo while speaking during the event dwelled on the importance of inculcating skill development into students.
