Jammu and Kashmir: BSF fires at drone in Arnia sector

Jammu:  Alert troops of Border Security Force on Saturday fired a few rounds at a drone spotted close to an international border in Arnia sector here.

BSF spokesman, DIG, SPS Sandhu said that in the morning, the alert BSF troops observed a blinking light and immediately fired at it in Arnia area.

 "It resulted in the Pakistani flying object returning," he said, adding that a combined search operation with BSF and police is being carried out in area.

Earlier in May 7, a drone was spotted in Arnia sector. Additional Director General, BSF, Western Command, Chandigarh, P V Rama Sastry on May 10 also visited the forward areas of the International Border and the Line of Control to review the security situation.
