Jammu and Kashmir encounter: Six terrorists killed in Anantnag

Srinagar, Nov 23 (IBNS): At least six suspected terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district early on Friday, officials said. 

Security forces reportedly launched a predawn operation based on inputs on the presence of terrorists in a forest area in Bijbehara area of the state.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from the site.

Identities of the killed people are not yet known.

"#Bijbehara Encounter update: 06 #terrorists eliminated in the encounter. Arms and Ammunition recovered. Identities are being ascertained. @JmuKmrPolice @AnantnagPolice," Kashmir Police Zone tweeted.
