Jammu and Kashmir: Mysterious blast cause panic, sentry fire in air in Sopore no injury
Baramulla, Apr 22 (UNI) Panic gripped in apple township of Sopore due to mysterious blast followed by aerial firing by a sentry on Monday, official sources said.
People ran for safety after a blast near the office of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Sopore in this north Kashmir on Monday.
There was no report of any injury or damage in the blast, they said adding it was reportedly grenade blast which was lobbed by unknown militants.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the area and launched manhunt to nab those responsible for causing the blast.
A sentry on duty in the area fired few shots in the air. However, the cause of the blast is unknown.
