Jammu and Kashmir: Three terrorists killed during encounter in Budgam

Srinagar: Three terrorists were killed during encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam area on Friday, officials said.

They belonmg to Jaish-e-Mohammad terror outfit.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar said the three slain terrorists were associated with Jaish(JeM). He identified one of the slain terrorist as Waseem, a resident of Srinagar.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from them.

"#BudgamEncounterUpdate: 03 #terrorists killed in #encounter. Identification & affliation being ascertained. #Incriminating materials including #arms & ammunition recovered: IGP Kashmir @JmuKmrPolice," Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.

This is the fifth gunfight in Kashmir this year which has left nine terrorists including an infiltrator dead.
