Jayalalithaa recovering well: TN Governor Vidyasagar Rao

Chennai, Oct 2 (IBNS) : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who has been undergoing treatment in a hospital for more than a week, is recovering well, state Governor Vidyasagar Rao said.

Rao visited the hospital where Jayalalithaa is admitted but did not meet her.

According to reports, he was briefed on her condition by top doctors.

A specialist doctor from the UK was earlier flown in to Chennai to attend Jayalalithaa.

Throughout her hospitalisation, the AIADMK has shot down reports that the Chief Minister, a former movie star and one of the most popular and powerful politicians in the country, is seriously unwell.

The AIADMK  has said she has been treated for fever and dehydration.
