J&K: Militants attack police party

Srinagar, June 7 (IBNS): Unknown gunmen fired upon a police party at Shopian district in south Kashmir on Saturday which left six persons, including four policemen, injured.

Three policemen received bullet injuries in legs. They have been shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital.

A policeman, who received bullet injuries in abdomen, has been shifted to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar city.

Two civilians, who were injured in the incident, have been shifted to Bone and Joint
Hospital in Srinagar.

Meanwhile, a blast took place under a sumo vehicle near general bus stand, in the jurisdiction of Anantnag Police Station .

Four persons, including two policemen, were injured in the blast.

All the injured have been shifted to Sub-District Hospital Anantnag for treatment.

However, all the injured have sustained minor injuries.
