J&K Youth killing: Govt orders probe
Srinagar, Feb 10 (IBNS) The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday ordered a probe into the firing incident which resulted in the killing of a youth on Monday by security forces in Palhallan area of north Kashmir.
According to official spokesman Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Talat Parvaiz has set up an enquiry committee to investigate the unfortunate death of a youth at Palhalan on Feb 9.
Official said that enquiry committee will be headed by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Pattan.
The enquiry committee has been directed to submit their report at an earliest, the official spokesman said.
The Deputy Commissioner has informed that an FIR has already been lodged in this matter and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner has assured the relatives of the deceased for every possible help adding that justice will be done in this matter and culprits behind this unfortunate incident will be taken to task.
Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a 23-year-old youth,was killed by security forces in a direct firing on Monday during protests to mark the second death anniversary of Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru.
