J'khand: 8 killed in Maoists attack
Dumka, Apr 24 (IBNS): At least eight people. including polling staff and policemen, were killed on Thursday as the bus in which they were travelling was blown up after it hit a landmine that was allegedly planted by Maoists in Jharkhand's Dumka distirct, media reports said.
According to reports, several others were injured in the attack.
They were returning after conducting polls.
The incident occurred on a day when the sixth of the nine-phased Lok Sabha elections was held in 11 states, including Jharkhand, and Union Territory (UT) of Puducherry.
