Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother test positive for COVID-19

New Delhi/IBNS: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje tested positive for the deadly novel coronavirus, media reports said on Tuesday.

Scindia and his mother were admitted to Max Hospital in Delhi's Saket on Monday after the duo was having fever and soar throat.

Scindia reportedly showed symptoms of coronavirus following which his samples were sent for testing.

Recently, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra was admitted in a Gurgaon hospital with symptoms of the contagion.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tested negative for COVID-19 on Tuesday after he went into self-isolation with mild fever and sore throat.

Delhi has been witnessing a surge in the number of cases of the deadly virus, with the total number crossing the 29,000 mark and 874 deaths.
