Chennai, Jul 1 (IBNS) Tamil Nadu politician and former DMK supremo M Karunanidhi's son M K Stalin has embraced an controversy after being caught on camera slapping a co-passenger during a joy ride in metro.
In a video that is in wide circulation, the DMK leader  is seen slapping a passenger with the back of his hand.

Media reports quoted  Stalin's office as saying that he  was only asking the man to get away from woman passengers and "inadvertently touched him" due to a train jolt.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa condemned Stalin's behaviour saying it is  unbecoming of a lawmaker.

"Stalin's behavior doesn't augur well as an MLA. All are equal in public places. Nobody is inferior. Stalin should maintain dignity," she said in a statement.
