Kashmir: Director RDD reviews status of rural development schemes

Ganderbal/IBNS: The Director for the Rural Development (RDD) of Kashmir, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, Saturday visited Ganderbal to review the implementation of rural development schemes and also take on spot appraisal of various works under execution in the district.

During the meeting, the status of various rural flagship programmes, including MGNREGA, PMAY-G, 14th FCA, works taken up under the Capex Budget (CD & Pyt Sector) and construction of the DDC/ BDC offices, RGSA were reviewed.

Against a target of 4.22 Lakh person days targeted by ending November, 4.40 lakh person days have already been generated till date.

It was informed that the MGNREGA wages are being released in time among the MGNREGA Job Card Holders and Rs 9.34 crore has been paid, besides that geo-tagging of assets and Aadhaar seeding of Job Card Holders has also been completed.

Similarly, 1,244 works have been taken up under MGNREGA among which 81 such works are already complete.
