Amritsar, Jul 29 (IBNS): A court in Amritsar granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and two members of his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday in a defamation case filed by Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia, media reported.

Kejriwal, along with AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashish Khetan, were present in the court.

The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate's court had summoned Kejriwal and the other leaders to appear before it to respond to the defamation case filed by Majithia.

According to Majithia, the AAP leaders had accused him of supporting the drug trade in Punjab, media reported.

"DrugsMan Majithia tried to scare us off, people of Punjab showed him who needs to fear. Countdown for his politics in Punjab has started," said The Aam Aadmi Party -AAP on its official Twitter page. It tweeted further "Badal and DrugMan Majithia must have realised today that they cannot mislead people of Punjab. Punjab stands with @ArvindKejriwal."
