Kejriwal instructed to call AAP MLAs in Gadkari's name in 2013: Yogendra Yadav on viral video

New Delhi: A video of an interview of former AAP leader Paramjit Katyal saying that he had called other AAP leaders on the instructions of Arvind Kejriwal posing as a person from Arun Jaitley or Nitin Gadkari's office with an offer of money to switch parties has reemerged.

Reacting to the video, former AAP leader Yogendra Yadav has said he was aware of the incident.

"Paramjit had told me about this incident 7 years ago. Upon inquiring about the incident, I learned that what he said was true. In 2013, on the orders of Arvind Kejriwal, his own MLA was called in the name of BJP. One of the many reasons why we got disillusioned with the AAP leadership," Yogendra Yadav tweeted.

In an interview for a documentary, Katyal had revealed that he was given two sim cards, a list of possible winning candidates and asked to make them an offer of Rs 35 lakhs if those MLAs switched parties.

In the interview, Katyal had said that while he was making calls he saw Kejriwal was on the TV and he was claiming that BJP leaders were calling AAP leaders. At that moment he realised that he was the one doing it.

This comes amid AAP leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia Monday morning saying he was reached out by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with a message urging him to join the saffron wing to get his cases closed. He referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s action against him in connection with the Delhi liquor policy.

BJP's Amit Malviya was quick to share the video after Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia's claim.
