Kasaragod, May 6 (UNI) Considered as an extended action of the double murder in Periya few months ago, a country bomb has been hurled at the house of Deepu Krishnan, a close friend of the victims-- Kripesh and Sarath Lal.

According to police sources, the incident occurred late on Sunday night. There is no casualty as there was no one in the house at the time of hurling the bomb.
The police has registered a case and is investigating.

The Congress has alleged that it was the CPI(M) activists who are behind the incident.

A local CPI(M) leader and few Marxist activists have been remanded to judicial custody in the brutal killing of he two Youth Congress workers---Kripesh and Sarath Lal.

An investigation by a Crime Branch team is progressing.

However, the families of the victims have been demanding a CBI inquiry as they strongly felt about a conspiracy hatched by senior Marxist leaders in the twin murder.

The double murder has been highlighted by the Congress in the recent election campaigning to expose the alleged criminalization of politics by the CPI(M).
