Kolkata, Jun 28 (IBNS): The Kolkata Police on Tuesday submitted a charge sheet before the Bankshall Court in connection with the Posta flyover collapse incident, slapping unintentional murder charges on ten arrested officials of construction company, officials said.
According to Kolkata Police sources, the charge sheet mentioned that very poor quality raw materials were used to build the bridge.

In the 2600-page-charge sheet, the police named all ten booked official-engineers of construction company as accused in the case.

Though, police started investigation into the case after initiating a case under IPC section 302 (Murder), but in the charge sheet they also slapped IPC section 304 (Culpable homicide not amounting to murder). It is also mentioned in the charge sheet that no suspect, in the case, is absconding.

The Kolkata Police also told the court that after getting forensic reports from RITES and NTH (National Test House), a supplementary charge sheet will be filed.

On March 31, an under-construction portion of Vivekananda Flyover collapsed in Kolkata's Girish Park area, killing at least 26 people and leaving many others injured.
