Patna, Nov 20 (IBNS) Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, the 26-year-old scion of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, is set to become Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister on his maiden entry to the state assembly, media reports said.

Though the grand alliance came to power under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, who becomes Chief Minister for the third time, the biggest gainer in the hustings is Lalu Prasad Yadav, who made a triumphant political comeback with his Rashtriya Janata Dal winning 80 of the state's 243 seats to emerge as the single largest party. Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal-United only came second bagging 71 seats.

Nitish Kumar will today take oath as Bihar chief minister along with his new council of ministers. 12 ministers each from the RJD and JD(U) and four from the Congress will be sworn in on Friday at the programme being held at the sprawling Gandhi maidan. Among the ministers will also be  Tej Pratap, Lalu Yadav's older son, who turns 28 on Saturday.

Lalu Yadav, who cannot contest elections or hold public office after being convicted in a corruption case, is said to have pushed for the deputy chief minister's post for his son.

Tejaswi is  a former cricketer who played in the Indian Premier League.

Tejaswi studied till class 9 in the capital's Delhi Public School, Mathura Road. His election affidavit says he has moveable assets of over one crore and does not own a car.
