Lalu Yadav's daughter-in-law let in the house after police intervention

Speaking to the media from a shade in the Yadav residence, Aishwarya accused her in-laws of continued ill-treatment and alleged that she was thrown out by her mother-in-law Rabri Devi, a former Chief Minister, and blamed her sister-in-law Misa Bharti for the breakdown of her marriage.

Meanwhile, Misa Bharti, who is a Rajya Sabha member, refuted all the allegations, saying she was "unnecessarily dragged" into the husband-wife dispute.

"It is a common occurrence that a sister-in-law is held responsible in a husband-wife dispute. I hardly live there and had been to Patna three-four times in the last few months in connection with court case. So, you see, the allegations levelled against me are not true at all," she told the reporters.

Earlier in the day, Aishwarya said she was living with her in-laws despite her husband's divorce suit in hopes of reconciliation.

She even alleged that Misa Bharti was trying to create a rift between Tej Pratap and Tejashwi to control the affairs of the Yadav family. 

Aishwarya, who spoke to the media the first time after her marriage said her jailed father-in-law Lalu Yadav could have found a solution to the dispute had he been present in the household.

On Sunday, her father Chandrika Roy, known to be close to Lalu Yadav, drove to 10, Circular Road despite the flood-like situation in Patna. Aishwarya was under the shade where RJD chief Lalu Yadav held meetings. The main doors of the house remained closed until late in the evening. She was let in after police intervened in the matter.

She claimed in the last three months she was not given food under the instructions of Misa Bharati and survived on the food sent by her parents. Matters worsened when she was barred from entering the kitchen. She was chased out by a household help after an altercation with him over the matter and was forced to take refuge under the shade, she alleged and said she called her father and women's helpline after being ousted.

Tej Pratap had left the house earlier this year, upset with his family for allowing Aishwarya stay even after he declared the marriage had come to an end.
