Lockdown may be imposed for 15 days in Maharashtra amid COVID-19 spike: Tope
Jalna/UNI: Health Minister Rajesh Tope has indicated that a 15-day lockdown will be imposed across in the state in view of raising number of COVID patients in the state.
Talking to media person at Jalna on Sunday evening, he said, in this regard, the state Chief Minister Udbhav Thackeray has discussed with all parties leaders .
However, even if a decision is taken, the lockdown will not be imposed immediately, he clarified.
Tope also appealed to the entrepreneurs to take care of their workers after the lockdown, as well as the workers from outside the state should not be scared and should not rush to their hometowns, he added.
Meanwhile-four-days 'Tikka Ustav' celebration of COVID vaccination began yesterday in the state.
The festival started yesterday on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and will continue till the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on Wednesday.
