Lok Sabha Bihar seat-sharing: BJP, JD(U) to share 17 seats each, LJP gets 6

New Delhi, Dec 23 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Sunday announced the seat sharing formula in Bihar where his party and the Janata Dal (United) will fight from 17 seats each and Ram Vilas Paswan’s  Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) will contest from six seats in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan will be the Rajya Sabha candidate of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

According to reports, Paswan is pleased with the seat sharing decision.

"We have been a partner of NDA and Narendra Modi will return as the PM. We will win all the seats in Bihar," he said.

Earlier there was a crisis in Bihar politics with Ram Vilas Paswan's son-Chirag issuing a warning to the BJP over seat sharing.

Chirag Paswan earlier took to Twitter to say if no deal for the 2019 General Elections is sealed on time, there may be some losses.

Bihar has 40 Lok Sabha seats.
