Lok Sabha Poll 2019: ECI relaxes MCC in 4 Cyclone affected districts

Amaravati, May 3 (UNI) Responding to the letter written by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has relaxed Model Code of Conduct (MCC) norms in four Cyclone affected districts on Friday.

State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Gopal Krishna Dwivedi in statement here on Friday said the ECI relaxed MCC in Fani Cyclone affected districts--- Srikakulam, Vizainagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari.

The ECI said the MCC was relaxed in the four districts to enable the government to take preventive and relief works associated with the cyclone.
