LTC scam: CBI books six Rajya Sabha MPs

New Delhi, June 13 (IBNS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a case against six Rajya Sabha MPs for cheating, forgery in connection with the Leave and Travel Concession (LTC) scam on Friday.

Three sitting MPs - D Bandopadhyay of Trinamool Congress (TMC), Brijesh Pathak of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Lal Ming Liana of MPF - and  three former Rajya Sabha MPs - JPN Singh of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Renu Bala of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Mehmood A Madni of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) - were booked under Section 420 (covers offences relating to cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 13 (1)D of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

According to reports, the accused MPs arranged fake tickets and boarding passes to get full fare reimbursement for their tours more than once.
