Gwalior, MP, May 11 (UNI) Seven persons died on the spot and two sustained grievous injuries when their car was crushed between a couple of lorries in the wee hours on Saturday in the vicinity of a toll plaza within Morar area, law enforcement authorities said.

Those hurt were admitted at a hospital in this divisional headquarters.

The car halted behind a truck that was stationary at the plaza. At that juncture, the second heavy vehicle rammed the car from the rear.

The car driver was among the deceased. Those inside were residents of Dabra town and were returning from a nearby place of worship.

The deceased were identified as Mangliya Jatav, his spouse Narayani, their daughter Sapna, her husband Mahesh, child Anjali, Shilpi and Dharmendra.
