Maha Kumbh: Medical teams deployed for Basant Panchami bath, 23 hospitals with 360 beds inspected

In anticipation of the Basant Panchami bathing festival, health services in Mahakumbh Nagar have been further strengthened.

Following the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, medical teams have been actively deployed on the ground since Thursday.

A total of 23 hospitals, equipped with 360 beds, have been prepared to ensure the well-being of devotees. A special medical team conducted a thorough inspection across the fairgrounds to assess these arrangements.

Senior medical officials, including Medical Nodal Officer Umakant Sanyal, Chief Medical Superintendent of Central Hospital Dr. Manoj Kaushik, Co-Nodal Medical Officer Dr. Ram Singh, and Mahakumbh Mela Nodal Medical Officer Dr. Gaurav Dubey, reviewed ambulance deployment and emergency facilities to ensure seamless healthcare services.

The Central Hospital, along with other medical units, is functioning efficiently, providing prompt medical attention from minor injuries to critical care. Dr. Gaurav Dubey emphasized that medical teams are responding to emergency calls within minutes, and all ambulance and health services remain fully operational even in challenging conditions.

Ensuring the safety and well-being of devotees remains a top priority for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

A comprehensive healthcare framework has been established, including a 100-bed state-of-the-art Central Hospital, two 25-bed sub-central hospitals, eight 20-bed sector hospitals, and two infectious disease hospitals with 20 beds each.

Additionally, 10 first-aid posts with one bed each have been set up to provide immediate medical assistance.
