Kolkata, Aug 19 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday described as 'unacceptable' the killing of a journalist in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur yesterday.

Taking to her tweeter handle Banerjee said, "I am shocked and saddened to hear about the killing of young journalist Ashish Janwani and his brother in Uttar Pradesh. Unacceptable. My condolences to the grieving family and the Dainik Jagran team."

The 24-year-old scribe and his 20-year-old brother were shot dead by some people at their residence.

The siblings had got into an argument with their neighbours over dumping of cow dung and garbage near the house.
