Mamata Banerjee expresses concern over fees structure in private schools
Banerjee, who met the authorities of private hospitals some time back, on Wednesday called upon administrators of several private schools to discuss regarding the complaints received by her government.
Banerjee expressed clear dissatisfaction over the huge sum of money claimed by the schools as donations or fees, though acknowledged the kind of education provided by them.
Apart from the fees structure, the WB CM expressed her dissatisfaction over telecasting the political lectures of politicians and also favoured the mandatory study of Bengali as any of three languages.
The West Bengal government earlier announced that any school of the state across all boards will have to teach Bengali and students would have to opt for Bengali as on one of the three languages.
Banerjee even formed a self regulating body where representatives from the government will also be present to keep an eye on the fees structure of the schools and modify it.
Formerly, the CM met the authorities of the private hospitals and lashed at them for the huge medical cost imposed by them on the patient's family.
