Mamata Banerjee, others wish Kejriwal 'get-well-soon'

Kolkata/New Delhi/IBNS: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday wished her Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal a speedy recovery after the latter has gone into self-quarantine and will take COVID-19 test following mild fever and a sore throat.

"I have read several media reports on Arvind Kejriwal Ji going into self-quarantine because of symptoms of fever and sore throat. I wish for his speedy recovery and hope he joins back public service soon," Banerjee tweeted.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has sent a well-wishing note to the Delhi CM too.

Kejriwal has also received 'speedy recovery' wishes from several politicians across party lines.

Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera, however, took a dig at Kejriwal over his recent decision to reserve Delhi government-run hospitals for residents only.

The decision was overruled by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Monday.

"I pray that you test negative. But just in case you need treatment, I hope Kaushambi has good hospitals. Get well soon, ArvindKejriwal," he tweeted.

Kejriwal will on Tuesday undergo a coronavirus test as he is suffering from cough and fever since Sunday afternoon.

Manish Sisodia said the CM has quarantined himself and cancelled all his meetings after he felt unwell on Sunday afternoon.

"As per doctor's advice, the CM will undergo a Covid test tomorrow. We are praying that he gets well soon and actively works for Delhi people as he was doing," said Sisodia.

Kejriwal was one of the CMs who were holding regular meetings with government officials since the outbreak of the pandemic virus in the country.
