Kolkata, May 11 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday congratulated former Bihat CM Lalu Prasad Yadav over the marriage of his son  Tej Pratap Yadav.

"Heartiest congratulations @laluprasadrjd Lalu Ji on the happy occasion of the marriage of your son. Also happy too that you got bail. Best wishes to your family," she tweeted.

Yadav was recently engaged to senior Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Chandrika Rai's daughter Aishwarya.

They are scheduled to get married on Saturday.

The Jharkhand High Court on Friday granted six weeks provisional bail to  RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on medical grounds, media reports said quoting his  counsel Prabhat Kumar.
