MaryKay Carlson finally wears maroon green Kanjeevaram on Independence Day

New Delhi, Aug 15 (IBNS): MaryKay Carlson, Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in India, was earlier confused about the saree she should wear on Indian Independence Day.

She left it to netizens to vote and decide the perfect saree for her to wear on the special day.

She asked for help from netizens on Twitter.

And finally, on Tuesday she was seen wearing maroon green Kanjeevaram on the special day for India.

Wearing the saree, she even shared the image on Twitter.

She captioned the image as: "#SareeSearch success! Excited to attend #IndependenceDayIndia celebration wearing the voters' choice - Kanjeevaram. #WeWearCulture."

India is celebrating Independence Day on Tuesday.
